Created for Toronto Pride 2024, My first-ever installation piece "Deeply Rooted' is a proclamation of existence that reaches from the past, and branches into the future.

Those who came before us are our roots, that twisted and wound through the smallest cracks and tightest obstacles

to carve out space for our existence. It was their efforts, that allowed such solid platforms to develop, and in turn act as stages for our community’s increasingly unique and diverse existences to sprout, grow and thrive.

Like a garden that has been passed down through generations, we are well-established, ever expanding, collectively formidable and equally breathtaking. Our histories are too deep to displace.
